Every plan
Zoho Books,
answered in English.
Read-only access to your Zoho Books invoices, contacts, expenses and chart of accounts — from a single AI chat. Zoho Books stays the source of truth; your team just stops clicking through screens to find the number. Every read is audit-logged and SCRS redacts customer PII before any model sees it.
Already connected Zoho CRM? Zoho Books uses the same OAuth client — you can connect both without a second consent flow.

Invoices, contacts, expenses, chart of accounts — in a single conversation.
You
“Which invoices are more than 30 days overdue, and how much is outstanding?”
Other Me
Seven invoices overdue beyond 30 days, total £52,480. Largest is Acme Ltd at £18,900 (47 days overdue). Want me to draft chase emails?
You
“Summarise March expenses by category, top five only.”
Other Me
Cloud hosting £24,100, subcontractors £18,400, travel £9,250, software subscriptions £7,800, office supplies £3,420. Travel is up 42% on February — want the breakdown?
You
“Pull the Globex Ltd contact record with their last six invoices.”
Other Me
Globex Ltd — primary contact Sarah Chen. Six invoices in the last six months, total £38,200. Five paid on time (avg 4 days), one paid late by 21 days, none outstanding.
You
“Show me the chart of accounts grouped by account type.”
Other Me
Income (8 accounts), Expense (23), Asset (12), Liability (9), Equity (4). Want the details on any group, or the balance movement this quarter?
Read-only by design
Every call is a read. The AI cannot post invoices, create expenses or edit the chart of accounts. Zoho Books stays the single source of truth.
Invoices
Query by customer, status, date range, ageing bucket. Pull line items and due dates.
Contacts
Customers and suppliers, balance owing, contact timeline and linked invoices.
Expenses
Filter by category, vendor, date range or period. Summarise by department or project.
Chart of accounts
Read the full chart of accounts with current balances, grouped by type.
Organisations
Switch between Zoho Books organisations if your practice manages more than one.

Region-correct and evidence-first
Zoho Books runs in the same eight data centres as Zoho CRM. A call for your EU account hits books.zoho.eu. A call for your India org hits books.zoho.in. The region is resolved at connect time and enforced on every subsequent call — you cannot accidentally send EU customer data to a US endpoint.
Customer names, tax identifiers and email addresses are pseudonymised by SCRS before any model sees them. Your accountants read the real values in their browser; the model reads tokens; the audit log captures both.
- Read-only API surface. No write scopes. The AI cannot mutate your ledger.
- Shared OAuth with Zoho CRM. One consent flow covers both products — no second authorisation round.
- Audit retention. 90 days on Business; configurable up to 7 years on Enterprise for regulated practices.
- UK data residency. Your queries and the derived data never leave UK infrastructure.

Zoho Books integration: FAQs
How is this different from Xero?
Mechanically it is the same pattern — read-only access, audit-logged, SCRS-redacted. The choice depends on which product your practice or finance team runs. If you already use Zoho across sales and operations, Zoho Books means one login, one OAuth flow, one governance setup. If you are a Xero house, use the Xero integration.
Do I need a separate OAuth app if I already connected Zoho CRM?
No. Zoho Books uses the same API console registration as Zoho CRM, so connecting Books adds the Books scopes to your existing Zoho consent without a second round trip. This is a deliberate choice — one Zoho connection, two products covered.
Can the AI create invoices or post expenses?
Not in v1. We deliberately requested read-only scopes so the AI cannot mutate your books. Write-back (invoice creation, expense posting) is on the roadmap and will ship with proper segregation-of-duties controls — tell us which write action matters most to your practice.
Can I connect multiple Zoho Books organisations?
Yes. Practice users can connect multiple Zoho Books organisations and switch between them by name in chat. Each organisation is enforced separately, so there is no cross-client leakage.
Is this suitable for a regulated accounting practice?
Yes. Read-only by design, SCRS redaction on every call, configurable audit retention on Enterprise, UK data residency. Business retains 90 days of audit out of the box; Enterprise lets you extend retention to match ICAEW, ACCA or professional-body requirements.
